Infrastructure & Connectivity Associate
Location: London
FXSpotStream LLC seeks an individual to support our client network connectivity and trading infrastructure. The individual must have baseline networking knowledge and organizational and interpersonal skills to coordinate between the FXSpotStream relationship management team, FXSpotStream’s technology provider, and the network teams of our clients or their associated vendors. Due to the 24-hour nature of the FX market, the position requires flexible working hours to support specific aspects of some projects.
The position is based in London, UK, and will report to the VP of Infrastructure & Connectivity.
Responsibilities
The individual will have the following responsibilities relating to client network connectivity and trading infrastructure. Other duties commensurate with the position may be assigned.
Coordinates the management, support, and change control of the global FXSpotStream trading network, including client, liquidity provider, and support network connections
Work with the FXSpotStream Relationship Management team and our technology vendor to establish new client connectivity or to migrate existing connections
Communicate network and infrastructure related changes clearly to partner LPs, vendors, and clients of the FXSpotStream Service
Participates in the development of policies and procedures to achieve specific goals
Works on complex projects of large scope
Arranges and coordinates scheduled upgrades
Creates and guides project plans with input from all stakeholders
Assists the FXSpotStream Support team in investigating potential network-related problems and potential resolutions
Assist in the creation, updating, and expanding of network-related documentation and procedures
Assist in the deployment of office-related desktop & network changes, and IT related policies
Qualifications
The individual should possess the following qualifications
Baseline networking experience
Knowledge of routing protocols a plus
Familiarity with Azure services and administration a plus
Ability to troubleshoot network issues as they arise across various co-location centers and remote site environments
Ability to migrate VPN Tunnels
Baseline understanding of IP protocols (IPv4 addressing, UDP, TCP, DNS, DHCP) used when troubleshooting issues
Background in Network Operations and trading Infrastructure (preferred)
Excellent attention to details and outstanding organizational and analytical skills
Working knowledge of JIRA and Visio (preferred)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong ability to document, vet requirements, and drive quality within a project or program
Project management skills
Requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience or equivalent work experience
